Just for Fun Playgrounds was started more than 30 years ago through a father’s desire to provide a fun, safe and affordable environment for his children to play in. Through the years, this vision has blossomed into a successful and innovative family-run business.
At Just For Fun Playgrounds, we design, manufacture and install commercial and residential play sets.
We offer complete turn-key operation. We design, manufacture and install the entire playground project, thus avoiding costly and inconvenient freight, delivery or installation steps. These savings are passed on to the customer, and you’ll see that reflected in our lower prices.
We also specialize in new custom designs. For example, we can build a playground to integrate the architectural “look” of a school, church, or neighborhood development. We’ve also had great success (and lots of fun) designing equipment that incorporates the historical significance of a given area.
Just For Fun Playgrounds will provide your play area with groundcover to provide the safest play area possible.
We also have full lines of metal and plastic play systems for any of your playground needs.
Because we are locally owned and operated, we are always available to service equipment, answer questions or add on to existing sets as the need arises.

Marcus, a Massachusetts native, discovered his passion for innovation and design at an early age. After earning his B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Parks Air College of St. Louis University, he moved to Charleston over 20 years ago where he fell in love with the Lowcountry and its vibrant community. Marcus and his wife, Shana, are proud parents of two and share a commitment to creating joyful experiences for families. They purchased Just For Fun in 2019 and Marcus has since dedicated himself to putting smiles on kids’ faces, combining his engineering expertise with a heartfelt mission to inspire laughter and play.
